Yesterday, I was much EXHAUSTED AND FRUSTRATED over what I had learnt THE BIG MISTAKES that I ever did. When I was dancing with Redeaf gals in waack item. I just realized that I made the wrong timings and didn’t make the interpretation of this item. And I felt that I wasted Jason and Nix’s time by getting the correct timings and match the music. And Nix was trying to count the beats with the music while I danced with her. Jason also helped me to see the timings whether I danced in the correct timing with music. I danced umpteen times to let Jason to count with the music alone. And I danced full-out in waack item umpteen times. And Jason and Nix gave the different perspective in their thoughts to each other. I felt guilty by causing them nearly argue to each other.
Sorry Jason and Nix,
I might not be a good choreographer and I was learning the choreo from my buddy. I didn’t know the definition of choreography. I just realized that the choreographer had alot of things to get details and to make the dancers to understand the interpretation of item. And I really thanked you guys for helping me alot..
After finish dancing at 11pm, I went home and I was whatsapp-ing my buddy in frustrated mood. I nearly argued with him and I felt as I was useless choreographer but I know that it would be the first time to be a hearing impaired choreographer. But it’s not easy to be a choreographer when it comes to make a choreography for dancers to understand the interpretation of choreography.
On way home, I thought of what Nix explained to me about the choreography details. I nearly cried and felt that there was no point to crying as It was my BIG MISTAKES!!..
Today, I google the definition of choreographer and it’s different meaning but I read and need to understand how the dancers want to become choreographers to get their passion in dance.
The definition of the choreographer is about..
Complex movements and dances on stage and screen do not happen without a lot of hard work. Dancers spend years learning dances and honing skills, as do most choreographers. Together, they then translate those skills into movement that expresses ideas and stories.
Dancers perform in a variety of settings, including opera, musical theater, and other musical productions, and may present folk, ethnic, tap, jazz, or other popular kinds of dance. They also perform in television, movies, music videos, and commercials, in which they may sing and act. Dancers most often perform as part of a group, although a few top artists perform solo.
Choreographers create original dances and develop new interpretations of existing dances. They work in theaters, dance schools, dance and movie studios, and at fashion shows, and are involved in auditioning performers for dance parts. Because few dance routines are written down, choreographers instruct performers at rehearsals to achieve the desired effect, often by demonstrating the exact technique. Choreographers also work with performers other than dancers. For example, the complex martial arts scenes in movies are arranged by choreographers who specialize in the martial arts. Choreographers also may help coordinate costume design and lighting, as well as choose the music and sound effects that convey the intended message.
And there is another interpretation of how to appreciate the music. : -
Tips
- Appreciating and liking are two completely different things. Listen to all sorts of music, even if some of it might not be your absolute favorite. You don’t have to like the music, just listen to it and try to understand it. Listen to a little bit of everything, from Bach to Billie Holiday to Less Than Jake to Liquid Tension Experiment to Michael Buble to Slayer.
- Most songs are written for a reason. There is usually a message being sent. If you don’t understand it upon first listening to a song, look up the lyrics. This is hard to do in classical music, as there are not necessarily any lyrics. For that, you have to try a little harder when you listen.
- Don’t criticize the first time you listen. Just sit back and let it wash over you. If you start complaining or griping, you have no hope of appreciating it.
- Do your best to expose yourself to new kinds of music. Go out and buy a random used CD or listen to a different radio station each day. Go on sites like allmusic.com, pandora.com, myspace, or purevolume.com to find new bands.
- Research underground music or listen to garage rock/pirate radio stations. These types of music are usually unique and tend to expose you to different.ideas and styles. Research music like ska, two-tone, and experimental. All of those less popular genres will help you to better your understanding of different music.
- Don’t limit yourself to “Pop” music. Go for some opera, classical, jazz, electronic, reggae, and heavy metal, too. Also, look up music from different countries.
I just learn how the choreographer work on these details that they are creating the choreography to dance in the stage. Anyway, Sorry that I write in long post. Hope that it can work on you when you want to be a choreographer.
